Advanced Driver Training

This course will be held at Taaibos Off-road trail, Vaalwater. Taaibos offers a classic Waterberg rock challenges with 14km of steep climbs, demanding descents and some serious river rock driving. The multiples river crossings can become very interesting during the wet season. There is an abundance of game in the Waterberg conservancy, and there is also Pedi and Bushman rock art.
 
What to bring:
  • Camping gear
  • Crockery and cutlery
  • Extra pair of takkies
  • 4x4 or 4x2 with diff lock vehicle
  • Sunblock and cap!
  • Camera Course Requirements: 
  • Completed a Basic off-road driving course;
  • Min 6 months off-road driving experience
 Course Content: 
  • Extreme Ascent - Approximately 35°
  • Extreme Descent – Approximately 35°
  • Advanced Mud / Rock and Sand Driving;
  • Advanced River Crossings
  • Night driving
  • Use of glow sticks
  • Trailer / Off-Road caravantowing
  • Directional signals;
  • The correct use of winches; Airbags, Hi-lift jacks
  • Advanced recovery - Recovery of rolled over angle;
  • Use of snatch block;
  • Safety when recovering a vehicle

Course Cost
R 1 850.00 per person. 
Cost includes: course material, camping fees, meals and track hire.
 
Minimum course bookings of 10 vehicles.
