A short History
The Scorpion College was established 14 years ago in Bloemfontein in the Free State. In 2000, we moved our head office to Johannesburg in Gauteng.
In 2001 Scorpion Off-Road College was awarded the contract from Ford Motor Company to train all Ford Ranger 4x4 and 4x2 with diff lock owners in the basics of off road driver training. In 2003 Skid Control and Sand Driving were also introduced to our members. In 2006, F250 owners were invited to attend the free training days as well and in 2008 Mazda BT-50 owners were included in the training sessions.
Scorpion College was also contracted to administer the Ford Lifestyle Experience – a private off road club for all Ranger , Mazda BT-50 and F250 owners. The club organizes off road outings, both day trips or longer, to various venues in the country. For more information on events, visit our website – www.scorpion.co.za
In addition to the off-road driver training days, we also facilitate Conferences, Year End functions, Product launches and ride and drives.
We have represented Ford Motor Company at various shows and exhibitions, the last being at the Johannesburg Motor Show in October 2008.
Our Managing Director, Wayne Dicks, is also part of the committee, reporting to Minister of Environmental Affairs, Minister van Schalkwyk, regarding the proposed off road legislation.

The Scorpion College offers Teambuilding days to all Corporate Companies. Scorpion is in a position to put together tailor made teambuilding packages that suite the client/company’s needs, this through interactive discussion and assessment. Our teambuilding can happen as an add-on to an existing conference, or as a one day or weekend event. Because our activities are portable, we can assist in choosing venues/locations that suite the client’s need.
The pricing structure depends on the combination of activities that the client chooses. We will assist in the choice of activities in consultation with the client and on determining what they hope to achieve. Your event manager will be in the know, as to what each activity entails, but sworn to secrecy so that the client gets the most out of the activities

Scorpion College will gladly assist in putting together a tailor made package especially for you. The quote can include any combination of the above activities. Catering is also offered by the venue.
